From East Austin to West San Antonio, Texas’s 35th Congressional District is home to hardworking families of all backgrounds. But today, too many Texans are struggling to afford the basic necessities while big corporations make record profits.
Congress must ensure that the ultra rich pay their fair share in taxes and contribute to the schools, roads, and community services that we all use.
I support legislation to address skyrocketing rent and mortgage rates, end discriminatory policies that prevent Texans from becoming homeowners, and expand public housing. I’m also fighting to protect veterans, older Americans, students and consumers from predatory business tactics, through legislation such as the End Junk Fees for Renters Act.
