Voting Rights
Our democracy is under attack — from extremist Republicans denying election results to our Supreme Court undoing Americans’ basic rights. Congress needs to take action to protect voters and ensure access to voting for all people.
I will push for Congress to ensure our democracy is protected and work toward ensuring an inclusive and fair democracy. I support the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would strengthen protections against discriminatory voting practices.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Greg Casar (D-Texas) spoke on the House floor for the first time about those who have lost electricity in Central Texas, those who are working to bring the lights back, and the collective power of Texans to change the state and the country for the better.
Greg Casar's roots are deep in Austin. He started off as a community organizer for construction workers and later served as an Austin City Council member for nearly seven years. Now, he’s representing the city in Washington, D.C.
Serving parts of Travis, Hays and Bexar counties, Casar is ambitious about his first term. He’s promising to work on issues like housing, abortion rights, voting, worker wages and the climate crisis. Despite Republicans holding the majority in the House of Representatives, Casar and his fellow Democrats are optimistic.
