Gun Violence
Gun violence is a national emergency. The number one cause of death for children in the U.S. is firearms. That’s unacceptable. A future without gun violence is not just possible — it’s necessary.
The U.S. needs stronger gun safety laws and gun violence prevention programs — to keep weapons of war off our streets and out of our schools, and stop gun violence before it starts.
I support legislation to ban assault weapons, expand background checks, and establish a federal Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
