PHOTOS: Congressman Greg Casar's 2023 Farm to Congress Tour

April 14, 2023

As a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Casar has the unique task of drafting and shaping the Farm Bill, which is must-pass legislation scheduled for this year.

The Farm Bill is a legislative package passed roughly every five years that has a tremendous impact on food access and security, farmers’ livelihoods, rural communities, and how our food is grown. From crop insurance to support for sustainable farming practices, the Farm Bill is how the federal government shapes our food and agriculture systems.
