NEWS: Congressman Greg Casar Not Attending Netanyahu’s Address

July 24, 2024

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Greg Casar (D-Texas) released the following statement ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress:

“I am boycotting Netanyahu’s address,” said Congressman Greg Casar (D-Texas). “Today, families of Israeli hostages called the Prime Minister’s speech a ‘PR stunt’ intended to cover up his own failures. Not only has Netanyahu failed to safely return the hostages — he has killed, harmed, or displaced nearly every Palestinian in Gaza, has failed to keep Israelis safe, and is risking the United States’ own security by trying to drag us into another endless war in the Middle East.

“The United States must end unconditional military aid to the Israeli government, and instead secure an immediate ceasefire, a return of the hostages, and long-term peace.”
