NEWS: Congressman Greg Casar on Extremist Impeachment Inquiry
“This is nothing more than a partisan political stunt.”
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Greg Casar (D-Texas), member of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, releases the following statement on Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s extremist impeachment inquiry:
“This is nothing more than a partisan political stunt. I’ve sat through hours of Oversight hearings based on thousands of pages of documents, and Republicans still have no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. All they have is a demand from Marjorie Taylor Green that they impeach the President anyway,” said Congressman Greg Casar (D-Texas). “Speaker Kevin McCarthy has once again caved into the wishes of the most extreme members of his party. These extremists will lie to the public and demean their public office every day of the week if they have to, as long as they can help elect Donald Trump. I, alongside other Democrats on the Oversight Committee, will remain committed to facts and reality.”
