Capital Improvements to the Guadalupe Community Center
Project Recipient: City of San Antonio
The City of San Antonio, in partnership with Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of San Antonio, Inc., requests funds to support capital improvements to the Guadalupe Community Center (GCC). GCC is a City of San Antonio Historic Designated Landmark that has served the westside community — one of the lowest median-income areas in the city — since 1942. The current building houses 12+ programs serving more than 121,000 individuals annually.
The 70-year-old facility requires urgent capital investment to address deferred maintenance, modernize aging systems, improve ADA accessibility, and ensure the building can safely and effectively meet growing community demand for another generation.

City of Kirby for Critical Asbestos Fresh Water Line Replacement

These deteriorating pipes are increasingly prone to breaks and leaks resulting in service disruptions, water loss, and rising maintenance costs. City of Kirby for New Water Well Project
Project Recipient: City of Kirby, Texas
The City of Kirby, Texas, supplies its own water utilizing a main water well and a secondary water well. The existing main water well is old, dilapidated, and severely inefficient. The old well’s concrete casing is cracked and has two significant cavities. The New Water Well project will cap the existing well, construct a new well on the existing site, and conduct a feasibility study of an additional 3rd well site. The City and its residents will benefit greatly from having a new water well that is reliable, efficient, safe, and able to pump more water. The feasibility study will benefit the residents as having an additional water well will provide further water stability. Reliable water supply is critical both to current residents of Kirby and to the city’s longevity, economic prosperity, and job creation as companies look to expand into Kirby.

Encanta Village Building and Site Improvements

This essential modernization, combined with 24-hour maintenance, ensures Encanta Villa remains a functional, high-value, and critical component of San Antonio's affordable housing landscape.

Expanded Dental Care Access for Uninsured and Underinsured Central Texans

Goodnight Ranch

The Goodnight Ranch project was developed to address the growing shortage of affordable homeownership opportunities for working families in Austin. As housing prices in the region have continued to rise significantly faster than wages, many essential workers—including teachers, nurses, and first responders—have found it increasingly difficult to purchase homes in the communities they serve. The City of Austin will support Austin Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with community stakeholders and local contractors, with delivering 47 affordable three-bedroom homes in the Goodnight Ranch community. Judson and Lookout Roads Low Water Crossing Improvements
Project Recipient: City of San Antonio
The project will eliminate roadway flooding hazards at the intersection of Judson and Lookout
Roads, allowing for a 100-year level-of-service for both roadways. There will be minimal
maintenance associated with the completed project. This project will include design, permitting, and construction activities for two existing low water crossings at the intersection of Judson and Lookout Roads. These crossings are located on unnamed tributaries to Beitel Creek and will be improved with larger box culverts, roadway improvements, channel widening, and riparian habitat restoration to improve bank stability and water quality. The City of San Antonio will incorporate mowing and debris and sediment removal to their normal maintenance schedule, once completed.

Pathways at Santa Rita Historic Preservation

Pathways at Santa Rita Courts East represents the second phase of a transformative reconstruction of the historic Santa Rita Courts development. Originally built in two phases in 1939 and 1952, the existing property has obsolete building systems; deteriorating plumbing, electrical and gas infrastructure; limited accessibility for those with mobility needs; and no central air conditioning. The new Pathways at Santa Rita Courts East will bring 104 new and renovated units to the site with modern amenities and accessibility, along with a variety of resident services. These multifamily units will maintain deep affordability. The redevelopment will preserve and restore the exterior of the buildings while modernizing the interiors with amenities like central heat and air conditioning, washer and dryer hookups and accessibility features.

Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Improvements

Wallace Addition Offsite – Phase 2: Cape Street Reconstruction and Shared Use Path
Project Recipient: City of San Marcos
The City of San Marcos is requesting $3.24 million to fund road and drainage improvements required for the installation of a shared-use path in the Wallace Addition neighborhood. The project will help address drainage issues and connect a flood prone, historically underserved portion of the San Marcos community with resources, services, and facilities on the west side of the interstate. The project scope includes channel improvements along Cape Street, which will enhance storm drain conveyance and reduce localized flooding, and a portion of Cape Street will be reconstructed. The funding requested will cover roadway design and construction, including a shared-use path that will tie into existing infrastructure and enhance connectivity to other nearby trails and bike routes, providing direct access to neighborhoods, businesses, schools, churches, cultural centers, and nearby recreational spaces.
